Having noted all the conferences this year in Conference Season, we have decided that it’s a case of, 'If you can’t beat them, join them!' Seriously, though, we are delighted to be sponsoring World Dairy 2013 in Germany in October. It seems particularly appropriate as this is Orrani Consulting's 20th year in operation, which seems quite a milestone for us. The dairy industry has certainly changed enormously over that time, even though many of our customers and associates have remained constant over that period.

The joy of marketing

One aspect World Dairy 2013 that appeals to us is its approach. In contrast to so many dairy industry events, where the focus is on upstream and supply issues or on commodity and ingredient markets, this conference has an opportunity-led approach and concentrates on the critical area of marketing, which is why it achieves 70% brand owner attendance. 

Don’t get me wrong, we will still be attending the other industry events this year, such as the IDF World Dairy Summit in Yokohama, Japan. But at heart I’m a marketer and I see improved marketing ‒ in the true, customer-centric sense of that word ‒ as absolutely central to success in the international dairy industry.
