Building Business in Emerging Markets

Orrani Consulting has exceptionally strong experience of working in developing countries worldwide.  This has been built up since the early 1990s through a diverse mix of aid-funded and commercial projects across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America and the Middle East.

We are familiar with the difficulties and frustrations of working on the ground in such environments, where logistics are often poor, business practices different and the pace of interaction slow.

This means we can take a practical approach to assessing opportunities and getting the job done under such testing conditions.  We are aided in this by an international network of in-country contacts which is second to none.

For example, outside the more "mainstream" markets, a few of the countries we have operated in include:

Algeria, Armenia, Bangladesh, Belize, Bolivia, Cameroon, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Nigeria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Zambia ....

Just some of the sectors we have worked on:

FMCG, Mobile Communications, Retailing, Stationery, Security Products, Building Equipment And Materials, Medical Supplies, Healthcare Products, Horticulture, Toys, Consumer Durables, Wines and Spirits, Aquaculture...

Market opportunities often exist in these challenging countries but take time to identify and develop.  How do you make sense of the commercial potential - in a specific country or an entire region?  What will your "go to market" strategy be?  Who can you work with in the local market?

Whatever your business, we can help you make meaningful opportunity assessments and develop direct trading relationships with potential business partners and trading contacts.
