El Niño Outlook

  There are several indications in the Pacific Ocean that an El Niño pattern is developing, suggesting changes in weather patterns bringing significant impacts on global supplies of milk and other agricultural commodities during the next 6 to 18 months. 

Milk supply in Oceania and the US may be jeopardised, likewise supplies of palm oil from Indonesia and cocoa from West Africa - whilst the Brazilian soy crop could well benefit!  An introduction to this topic is available here
